The new medical show Mercy premiered tonight on NBC. Those who love medical shows have been really excited for this show for a long time. Mercy is expected to be a lot like Grey’s Anatomy, except there is one major difference: the show focuses mostly on the nurses in the hospital.

Mercy is centered on two main characters; Veronica, a nurse who has lots of tragic experience from serving in Iraq, and Chloe, another nurse (Michelle Trachtenberg) who has a Master’s Degree, but does not know what to expect from working in the medical field.

Although it may be too early to tell how good this show is going to be, Mercy seems to be a hit. The show seems like it is going to be just as comical as House in the future. At the same time, it also offers some elements of drama. It seems like Mercy will be a great choice for those who want to both laugh and cry.

The cast of Mercy seems to be well put together. Although it does not seem that we have been fully introduced to each and every character, those who we have met seem to be very unique in their own way. Ranging from the nurse whose brother was a gang member and only wants to date rich men to the doctor who has recently signed on to work at the hospital to be near the nurse he fell in love with in Iraq, there seems to be a wide variety of characters.

Just like any other medical show, Mercy also offers elements of both working in a hospital and relationships. Within a few weeks, it is safe to say that you are probably going to be interested to see just what will happen with all of the characters on Mercy. Personally, I already am!
